10/8/2008 12:00:00 AM
The following ITIL v3 Intermediate exams have been released by APMG, the administrators of ITIL:
- Service Operation
- Service Transition
- Operational Support and Analysis
- Release, Control and Validation
- Service Offerings and Agreements
The ITIL v3 exam scheme has four levels: Foundation Level, Intermediate Level (Lifecycle Stream and Capability Stream), ITIL Expert and ITIL Master.
The newly launched ITIL v3 Intermediate level is the second stage in the ITIL v3 Qualification launch. The Intermediate level has two streams of specialization: a Lifecycle stream and a Capability stream. Individuals can choose either stream to earn credits toward their certification in IT Service Management. Both Intermediate streams assess an individual’s comprehension and application of the concepts of ITIL v3.
The Service Lifecycle stream is built around the five core OGC books: Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation and Continual Service Improvement. The Service Capability stream is built around four clusters: Operational Support and Analysis; Planning, Protecting and Optimization; Release, Control and Validation; Service Offerings and Agreements.
