  • A Perfect Start to the Day

    How do you start your day?

    I like to start my day with a workout every morning. Getting the blood pumping is an excellent way to prepare your mind and body for the workday ahead.

    If you have trouble getting started in the morning, try forcing yourself for one week to wake up an hour earlier and get some sort of exercise in.

    Try working out with a co-worker, and motivate each other to succeed....

  • Healthy Competition at Work is a Good Thing

    Another instructor here at New Horizons and I have a little competition going on right now. We both scribe blogs for one reason or another. He, along with others here, are under the impression that sheer quantity of blog posts are a healthy measurement for success.   • The Ten Words That Can Improve Any Customer Interaction

    I was having a terrible day yesterday. I think I may have put on 6-7 pounds, because the clothes that normally fit me, now do not.

    I was at a department store shopping for a new pair of pants. I found a pair in what I thought were my size, and proceeded to try them on.

  • Finding the Training Trigger by Integrating Technology

    One of the biggest obstacles in providing quality training for people is overcoming learning barriers that may exist.
    For example, my seven-year-old son was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. When he was first diagnosed at the age of three, he was completely non-verbal.  Not only was I unable to communicate with him, he was unable to communicate with me.  That communication and learning barrier caused confusion and stress.
